Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tavix platform available at tavix.app (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before using Tavix. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
Definitions
- “Tavix”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to the Tavix platform and its operators.
- “Salon Owner” or “Business User” refers to individuals or entities who register a Tavix account to manage their salon or wellness business.
- “Client” or “End User” refers to individuals who book appointments through a salon's Tavix booking page.
- “Service” refers to the Tavix salon booking platform, including all features, tools, and content.
- “Content” refers to any data, information, text, or materials uploaded or created by users on the platform.
Account Registration
To use Tavix as a Salon Owner, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Salon Owner account. You must have the authority to bind your business to these Terms if registering on behalf of a business entity.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Subscription & Pricing
Tavix operates on a simple, transparent pricing model:
- Base subscription: £19 per month, which includes one user (the salon owner).
- Additional staff members: £5 per month per additional staff member.
- Zero commission: We do not charge any commission or per-booking fees on appointments made through the platform.
All prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed monthly via Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' written notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.
Free Trial
New Salon Owners are eligible for a 90-day free trial of the Tavix platform. No credit card is required to start your trial.
During the trial period, you have full access to all platform features. At the end of the trial, you will need to subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. If you do not subscribe, your account will be suspended but your data will be retained for 30 days to allow you to export it.
Data Ownership
You own your data. All business data, client records, booking history, and content you create or upload to Tavix remains your property.
We provide full data export capability in CSV and JSON formats. You can export your data at any time from your dashboard settings.
Upon cancellation of your subscription, you have a 30-day data export window to download all your data before it is permanently deleted from our systems (subject to legal retention requirements as described in our Privacy Policy).
We do not sell, rent, or share your business data with third parties for their own purposes. Data is only shared with our service providers as necessary to operate the platform, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Booking Platform
Tavix is a platform and marketplace that facilitates bookings between Salon Owners and their Clients. We are not a party to any booking, appointment, or transaction between a Salon Owner and a Client.
Salon Owners are solely responsible for:
- The services they offer and their quality
- Pricing and any deposits or payments collected
- Honouring confirmed bookings
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Managing cancellations and refunds with their Clients
Tavix does not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of services offered by Salon Owners. Any disputes between Salon Owners and Clients should be resolved directly between the parties.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, transmit, or distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other accounts, systems, or networks.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Service without our express written consent.
- Send unsolicited communications (spam) through the platform or abuse the WhatsApp notification system.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use requirements.
Intellectual Property
Our platform: The Tavix platform, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by Tavix and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our written permission.
Your content: You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to Tavix, including business information, service descriptions, and client data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to use your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you.
Service Availability
We use reasonable efforts to ensure the Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we do not guarantee 100% uptime and the Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice where possible)
- Emergency maintenance or security updates
- Factors beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages or third-party service disruptions
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of any planned downtime that may affect your use of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunity, or goodwill.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Tavix in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Termination
By you: You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will have 30 days after cancellation to export your data.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered Salon Owners by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
